Prof. Allen teaches courses across the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard Graduate School of Education, and Harvard Law School that focus on ethics and public policy; constitutionalism and democracy reform; democratic theory; digital media and citizenship; American political thought; and ancient and medieval political thought.
